Property rights have a direct and significant bearing on economic freedom/prosperity. When property rights are strong within a nation the likelihood of prosperity for its citizens is much greater. This report, created by the Frasier Institute, actually states “Protection of persons and their rightfully acquired property is a central element of both economic freedom and civil society. Indeed, it is the most important function of government.” For this reason it is encouraging to know the economic freedom for the United States, which had been in decline during the last decade, made a halt in 2017 under the guidance of the Trump administration.
