Recently the strategies to undermine America’s Constitutionally protected gun rights have reached a fever-pitch; at times stretching the bounds of credulity. In Deerfield, Illinois the city council has given residents 60 days to surrender their “assault weapons” or face fines of $1000 per day per gun. Is this city council aware there is no clear definition of what comprises an assault weapon? Are they aware of the harm into which they would be sending their “enforcers” in order to confiscate citizen’s personal property?
