Lesson 6: Grants are Used as a Major Tool to Implement Agenda 21

GrantsThis is the sixth lesson in a series of ten lessons on Agenda 21, commonly known as Sustainable Development. Today we will learn how…

Grants are Used as a Major Tool to Implement Agenda 21

As one looks at the financial crisis in which one finds the United States, whether one sees this as a bad or a good thing depends on one’s point of view.  If the federal government wishes to create voluntary compliance at a local level with certain federal goals, would not making grants available to cash-starved local governmental entities, grants with strings attached, not be an effective way to create compliance?  Making matters worse is that the grant money the government uses to create local compliance is your tax dollars. How to Win a Man-Made Climate Change Argument

Rules to Remember

If you believe the climate is changing because of natural factors like sun spot activity, etc., and that man’s behavior is an insignificant contributor, then you must convince those who have been indoctrinated to believe the opposite. To do so, be sure to insert the word “man-made” whenever necessary into the argument.

While debating the topic do not get into the weeds. It is not necessary and will only muddy the waters.

As much as is possible ask questions rather than make declarative statements.

Finally, stay cool. Do not raise your voice or use expletives.

How this might work.

Someone makes a comment about how doomed we are because of manmade climate change and how important it is to do x, y, and z in order to save the planet.

You ask…

QUESTION 1: “Do you realize the planet has experienced many ice ages followed by warming periods in the past-long before man existed or before humans had any carbon footprint? (The assumption is they will answer yes.)

QUESTION 2: So why do you think man’s behavior is the cause of global warming or cooling today and more importantly why do you think anything we can do can override the huge impact of Mother Nature? (They may start to spew irrelevant info. If so, remind them you agreed in the previous question that before man arrived on the scene the planet had warming and cooling periods. Then repeat question 2).

If this does not give them pause, question 3 should take the wind out of their sails.

Question 3: So, if you feel so passionately, that by changing our behavior we can stop Man-made Climate Change, what freedoms are you willing to give up to “save the planet”? Do you and your family rigorously and regularly ration your water use, buy your clothes at second-hand stores, refuse to use AC, ride your bikes to work and all errands, do you avoid vacation trips, do you grow your own food, wash your clothes by hand and hang them on the clothes line to dry, do you live in a “tiny house”, or do you just want politicians to pass feel-good legislation or worse yet, legislation which deprives the rest of us of our liberty?

After letting them squirm a bit, you could just say, of course none of this would help. MAN MADE Climate Change does not exist. The good news is man’s activity is not causing the climate to change so all of this is a waste of time anyway.

Note: You or your fellow debater might be tempted to suggest technologies, like “clean coal technology” or using alternative energies like wind and solar could solve the problem.  To go down this path again implies man can do something to stop Mother Nature from changing the climate. Do not go there nor let yourself be drug there. That is where you end up in the weeds!

Summary: Protecting the environment in many cases is a very good thing, but doing so will NOT stop the Earth from warming. It will, however, if the Progressives have their way, be the excuse used to steal all of our liberties.

Group wants to host ‘straight pride’ parade in Boston

John Hugo is president of Super Happy Fun America; a group organizing the Straight Pride parade later this summer (2019) in Boston. Hugo told Boston 25 News he’s fighting for tolerance for everybody.

How sad is it that in America today the majority is supposed to sit down, shut up, and allow minorities to direct society. Well, that might be about to change.

What you need to know about Trade Agreements, Regionalism and BREXIT,

Trade Agreements (can lead to regionalism)

As I am sure you know the Trump Administration is all about boosting our economy. One of the Trump Administration’s favorite tools for boosting the economy is through the use of trade agreements. The effort to open up China to more American products is currently being batted back and forth. Then there is the USMCA; a trade agreement between the United States, Canada, and Mexico, which will likely be voted on early in 2020.

These trade deals have tremendous ability to do good or to do harm. So what makes a trade agreement good-besides the obvious goal of creating improved economic activity for the participating countries? The answer is determined by how many and how deep are the strings/legal entanglements, which tie the member countries together.

You see, if there are too many strings, especially if the strings revolve around very complicated and likely contentious issues, there is a great likelihood those strings will at some point chafe one or more of the involved nations. If that occurs, who decides how the issue is handled? Do the individual member states decide or is there a higher court? If, there is a higher court, it will likely supersede the member states’ courts or governing bodies. If this is the case, national sovereignty and control has been eliminated and replaced by regionalism.

BREXIT (an effort to escape regionalism)

The European Union is a perfect example of a very bad trade deal. You only have had to watch the flood of immigrants from the Middle East overwhelm the social programs of the EU countries, undermine their native cultures, and bring a heightened level of violence to know this union of countries was in trouble on that one issue alone.

That said it should not have been a surprise when several years ago Great Britain’s voted to exit the European Union only to be prevented from doing so by an inability of the EU and Great Britain to agree on how to get untangled from each other.  This is why it is such a pleasure to include in this newsletter the victory speech given by Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since July 2019, who just won control of the British Parliament on the platform of getting BREXIT done. Please, when you read Boris Johnson’s speech, notice within the speech the following statement.

“Leaving the European Union as one United Kingdom, taking back control of our laws, borders, money, our trade, immigration system, delivering on the democratic mandate of the people.

This statement makes it crystal clean, when a country chooses regionalism over national sovereignty, the country and more importantly its citizens sacrifice their freedom to choose their destiny. To read the entire speech, click on this link.

You Don’t know What You’ve got ’til it’s Gone (property rights and local government) Video

Recently the author of this newsletter gave a speech in front of the Ohio Liberty Coalition, the umbrella organization for the various conservative grassroots organizations in Ohio. This video is an overview of many of the lessons on this site. Three other speakers, each with their own expertise, were included within the 55 minute time frame.

Below is a chart which lists the various topics that are covered within the speech, which Lessons of this website are being highlighted, the name of the speaker for that section, and the approximate minute-mark when each section begins and ends.

The entire 55 minute video is well worth watching either as an individual, or as a presentation for a larger group.

The Geography of the Anti-Agenda 21 Movement (aka anti-Agenda 21 efforts are working)

This article was written by folks who are keen on implementing Agenda 21 policies within the cities. They make it clear that the anti-Agenda 21 folks are making gains and should not be taken lightly.

It is gratifying to have our opposition refrain from calling us “conspiracy theorists” (or worse) and to acknowledge our successes in slowing their agenda. To learn more, click on this link.

Clean Energy’s Dirty Little Secret

Are alternative energies really “all that”. We know they require subsidies because on a level playing field they cannot compete with fossil fuels. We know that when the government provides this kind of financial support for green energy, it drives the cost of all energy higher. But, hey, it makes the environment cleaner, right? Maybe not. Is Mary Granato’s Regional Government Responsible for Her Death?

This sad story shows how difficult, as Al Gore said, “the wrenching transformation of society” will be. The bike paths, walking paths, and mass transit lines for our new human settlements are being forced onto private property over the objections of the individuals who are being forced to sacrifice their land to eminent domain.

The owner of a property in Montgomery County, 85 year old Mary Granato, has been fighting to prevent Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission from having her large trees cut down and her front yard taken through eminent domain. MVRPC has plans to construct a bike path within 8 feet of her front door. This battle for property rights has been going on for most of a year.

This story ends even more tragically than normal. On July 31, 2013, while the county, against Mary’s wishes, was cutting down the mature trees immediately in front of her 150 year old house, Mary had a heart attack and died. To read about the struggle Mary has had since last October to stop this infringement of her property rights, please click here. link

Below is the story written in the Dayton Daily News on August 4, 2013 after Mary’s death.

Food Charters-Good Idea Until It Goes Bad

Sustainable Development ideas often are presented as beneficial ideas. Ideas that will help the individual and/or the environment, and possibly do-at least in the short haul. But, when one is dealing with Agenda 21 policy, it is critical to always keep the end game in mind. The end game is to move the human population into a pack and stack situation in the human settlements, where all of their food and fiber needs must be obtained from the land immediately around the human settlements.  To achieve this end game it is critical that humans are slowly conditioned to believe that it is a great idea to buy locally grown food. It is only later that they will find out that they will be the ones growing this food, and that there will be no alternatives. Continue reading
