When school curriculum sets your child up for failure, it is not just your child and family which take a hit. This is a national security issue.  Without educated children there is no part of society-health care, the building trades, technology, the military, heck, even our ability to get our fast food orders promptly and correctly prepared-which does not suffer.

Adding insult to injury, as school test scores drop, tax dollars in ever increasing amount are being sucked out of your wallets. Meanwhile our children are exposed to immoral sex education programs while being taught the injustice of white privilege, the dangers of MANMADE  global warming, and the wonderfulness of Socialism and Communism.

Ohio House Passes Bill to Protect Religious Expression for School Students

Shortly after the US Supreme Court Declined to Resolve Public Schools’ Double Standard in Promoting Islam while Disparaging Christianity, Ohio’s House of Representatives passed a bill to protect the rights of all students to practice and honor their religious beliefs. While this may (or may not) have some impact on education, it would prevent student-usually Christians students- from being punished or marginalized for their religious beliefs.

This bill has been sent to the Ohio Senate for a vote. If you live in the state of Ohio, please consider contacting your senator in support of this bill.

Don’t Accept the Premise of the Left!

The 1619 Project revolves around the flawed premise that since the year 1619, when the first slaves arrived in America, all the good accomplished in America was gained off of the backs of the slaves. Further the project, which may be a trial balloon for a new further Left history curriculum, blames the Founders for perpetuating the institution of slavery within the Constitution.

The real way to know whether the 1619 Project comes from a place of fairness or is really just another way to potentially politicize our children’s history classes will present itself in the curriculum. If there is no effort in the curriculum to expose the reality that virtually all slave owners were Democrats, members of the KKK, and several generations later fought like heck to stop segregation, while the Republican fought to free the slaves and for eventual integration, then we know the project is just another way to rewrite history so as to indoctrinate our children into accepting Leftist views.

Trump admin to undo Obama-era rules promoting diversity in college admissions: report

It is common knowledge colleges have too often allowed race to trump academic achievement in deciding who they will accept. Placing so much emphasis on diversity in the college setting creates in a thinking person a slew of questions. How fair is this to those who worked hard to achieve the higher grades and yet are not accepted? How many of the doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc. that are graduating from college are not “made of the right stuff” and who will be a unknowing victim of this potential incompetence? Finally, even if the attempt is made to justify these policies by saying it is simply social justice, when will enough ‘justice’ be dished out, allowing our society to return to a system free of social justice policies? Energized high schoolers rally across US in school walkouts: ‘You don’t want your brother, sister … to be the next victims’

By the time you get this newsletter the March 14, 2018 student protests for gun control will be in the rear view mirror. For better or worse this will not be the last time children will be used by the Left to do the heavy lifting necessary to gut the Second Amendment. For this reason it is critical you understand what is really at stake if we continue to encourage our children to protest during school hours.

Too many of our schools in conjunction with Leftist groups like Women’s March Organization are whipping our kids into an emotional frenzy to encourage the students to walk outs of their schools. This MIGHT be OK if the students were first encouraged in the classroom to do research to determine if school gun violence is the greatest danger to their life and limb (more deaths due to texting and driving, etc.) and to identify ALL of the factors that contribute to school gun violence. At that point the students would be able to protest intelligently about the need to foster intact families, to decrease violent video game usage by children, etc., but, oh, no. No research. No choice; just a not so subtle pressure for the students to get out there and demand of the government a simple solution to school gun violence, when in reality it is a very complex problem.

If these protests are allowed to continue and flourish, the result will be more government gun control, radicalized students, chaos in the schools with less learning, but sadly, no decrease in school gun violence. So much harm for so little gain.
